Packet Digital Announces U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force Contract

Fargo, North Dakota – February 10, 2014:  Packet Digital, a Tier One member of Defense Alliance’s Advanced Power & Energy Cluster (APC) has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Army’s Rapid Equipping Force (REF) to reduce power in several Army platforms, including a satellite terminal, a mobile cellular radio system, an IED (improvised explosive device) signal jammer, and a mobile computer.  The $669,000 contract will allow Packet Digital to integrate their PowerSage® Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs) with its patented and award winning On-Demand Power® technology; and the company will also use their power management expertise to add On-Demand Power capabilities into the Army platforms, improving power conversion efficiency and reducing wasted power and heat. The REF harnesses current and emerging technologies to provide rapid solutions to the urgently required capabilities of Army forces employed globally.
